Patch - v0.0.2.30


Hey everyone,

I've been busy with exams, but in my free time I have been tinkering away at Throne of Marrow and progress is going swimmingly, so I thought I would share it with all of you!




So where do I start, I've attached a few screenshots to show the overhauled graphics of the game. I am quite happy with how they turned out and it added some much needed vibrance to the game. The sound effects have also been brought up to a higher standard. Footsteps now have different audio depending on the type of surface you're running on. Monsters have gotten a lot of sounds to make them feel more alive.

Area transitions are now a thing, so you can check out the tutorial and then have that spit you out into a new run.

I've also worked a lot of the lore of Throne of Marrow, but it is yet to be published for your perusal!

There is also the "Relics" system I'm working on, it's not quite ready for testing, but I have implemented a few relics on my end. These are powerful passive items that you can use to really change up the way your "build" works.

I'm also aiming to have Marrowhold Cemetery more or less as a complete demo. I'm thinking that the demo gameplay loop should consist of starting a new run -> beat the cemetery -> boss battle. After that the finished game would spit you out to biome #2, but for the demo I'm considering just letting people replay the cemetery and boss battle ad infinitum. I think it's a much more fun idea rather than printing a "Thanks for playing the demo" message at the end of the boss battle.

Let me know what you think of this idea, pros and cons etc.
